You pillage, maim, steal and kill your way through the little town of Havenshire in order to learn the ropes of being a death knight. It's also a nice touch that you have the Lich King whispering little bouts of encouragement like "Finish it!" when you're stabbing some townsfolk and/or a member of the Scarlet Crusade in the face.

Yes, they took morality and clubbed you over the head with it. Poker stabbing humans for information? Check. Using your skeleton drake to chew on Scarlet Crusaders to replenish mana? Check. Hey, I even get 15k experience for using the Neural Needler (cough).

On the other hand, my paladin is getting ass raped by death knights running in packs of five in Hellfire. Seriously. I had this shit for brains blood elf death knight who tried to gank my paladin, only to be owned in return... THREE TIMES. Do you know how much time that bastard cost me!? Ok, I lost round four because a level 65 death knight rode by and helped him out (I was 62 then! :p). But I returned the favor in the fifth round and sat there after one swing watching Yonne's lock light him up.

She's never making it to 80 by the rate this is going T_T

Back to playing death grip volleyball with the lowbies.

Not knowing where it spun out of control

Bumping into someone from the past whom you've not met for yonks can sway either way: surprisingly pleasant or just plain catastrophic. I mean, if someone was important enough to you, you probably wouldn't be completely out of contact the first place, yes? Unless of course, something... remarkably unsavory took place.

Until today, I can't really pinpoint when the switch flipped and caused the mangled mess that was my relationship from the last half of 2005 to early 2007. But then again, with relationships it's always almost the usual suspects: someone got detached, someone tried holding on, someone didn't bother trying, someone found someone else, someone didn't care, someone started caring, massive chaos ensued, the world imploded and everyone walked away angry, uncertain and broken from the half truths, betrayal and the lingering doubt that perhaps everything they had was merely a convenience then.

I will never know.

High

What they did during Talent Hub's 3rd anniversary dinner:

And no, I'm not really peddling the balloons. Here is the really, really long ass post that was promised earlier in the month.

Starting off; we (Chris, Cina, Yen, Yees, Emma and I) went to Korea! :D Since it's been yonks, I've already forgotten the names of most of the places we went to.

Taking off!

We landed in Seoul and took off for Insadong where we met up with Yees and Emma:

Because lunch was a whole mouthful of bad, we started snacking in the airport while waiting for our flight at Jeju Island. We love cake.

Once we got there, we got onto the bus which had the most ghetto looking, retro stylin' interior. They use green and pink neon lights for lighting at night. No joke.

We went to see some dragon head shaped rocks...

while Yees worked the camera...

... and found this amazing seaside place to eat, right on the rocks :p The locals had set up a sashimi stall behind a cluster of rocks--raw octopus and abalone with shoju! YUM :D

We had to climb some mountain in Jeju on day two :p

The view from the top was spectacular! There were heaps of people coming up by the time we got down o.O And some of us had shaky knees from walking downhill :p

After the massive climb, we went to check out a folk village... and no, it's not the ones that were preserved just for tourists; there are people who actually live in them. Very old school.

We had lunch (at least, I think this is what we had for lunch):

After lunch we went over to chill out by a waterfall and cam whored even more:

Then we headed off to another place with more rocks. Fun, right? But the highlight of this part was the silkworms! Just incase you're wondering: no, I didn't finish it (ech!) and crunchy, creamy texture with a bitter aftertaste ;)

We also braved the rain to visit a root garden without umbrellas lol

Day three was "Everland" day. The morning kicked off with abalone juk and then a obligatory group shot by the windy coastline:

If you're wondering what Cina was doing with the hand gesture... it's the T-Express pose (keep reading :p). We said goodbye to Jeju Island and headed off to Everland, the land of candy, coasters and crack.

And this is the T-Express:

With the first drop at a whopping 77 degree decline, waiting in line for it was terrifying. Dr. Emma was about to backpedal if not for Cina blocking the way.

77 degree drop kids, it's like being hurled off a wall, no joke. From far, the drop looked like cake... two seconds of thrills and chills, nothing we couldn't handle yeah? So wrong. Oh, so wrong. Turns out the two seconds felt like TWO YEARS of free falling... heck, Dr. Emma started screaming even before the drop T_T That ride was not fun :p But we sat it for the sake of saying "Yeah, the T-Express? Been there, done that."

Emma and I braved a few more rides that tossed us around in the air like they were flipping pancakes. The attendants were doing the macarena and talking in high-pitched "YOOHOOO"s every five seconds. What do they put in the water!?

We also got ears for -almost- everyone :)

We had more grilled stuff for dinner. For the record, I don't recall what it was I was doing when that shot was taken.

The next day, we went to see yet another mountain (for the view, naturally). Emma hiked all the way to the peak despite the tour guide specifically telling just us to not hike to the top. Yes, we were the rebel group in the tour :p

The skies were amazing that morning:

Does anyone see that "No smoking" sign there!? Seriously :p

After our relaxing morning walk, we went to the fish market and had lunch in the makeshift shops that were really just the shop keep's boat lol

Yes, more food (it's a gastronomical adventure :p)! Sashimi of sorts:

We went to Nami Island; serene and romantic despite possibly being visited by every other teen couple in South Korea. And yes, this is where they filmed Winter Sonata. They even have bronze statues of the two main actors, heh.

The next day, we went to visit the ever popular Dae Jang-Geum movie set and had some fun there:

Carrying Yees around ain't no easy task!

She volunteered, I swear!

I think we got hauled off to the Ginseng place after this... and naturally, had ginseng chicken for dinner (or was it lunch, hmm)

We headed back to our chic little pad in Seoul where I proceeded to plug in my mac and sat there until my withdrawal symptoms went away. Also, I managed to catch the infamous Starcraft gaming channel :D

We went to roam the streets of Seoul...

There were streets and streets of neon lights, vibrant buzzing and the somewhat usual techno/hip hop coming out of random bars. The people here don't seem to sleep :p

On the last day of the trip with our tour group, we went to learn how to make kimchii. Well, being a tour and all... they don't actually expect us to "make" anything. So, it was really just 15 minutes of us rubbing soggy cabbage down with pre-made chili paste.

Being touristy, we took pictures at this square that had a fountain built smack in the middle of it especially for the view (see that sexy mountain behind and how the fountain sits a little of right? Yeeeah.).

We made our way over to the Folk Museum and then proceeded to get lost in a massive (previously somewhat restored) palace:

We even had time to play some court games!

No, I don't remember the name of the arrow game... but Emma schooled us all lol
Now that touring was more or less done, it was time to shop! We were dropped off at Myeong Dong (I think! :p) and Yen tore into TheFaceShop and Laniege... and proceeded to buy almost everything :p Emma came in a close second with a truckload of everything else.

With Emma and Yees off to Japan the next day, Chris, Cina, Yen and I went for our own adventure... starting at Lotte Mart. We had to try their Bulgogi burger in the Lotteria:

Wasn't the greatest, but hey :p We also went shopping... for instant noodles. Now this may be silly, but the obnoxiously CHEAP thrill of buying instant noodles/candy/snacks in a foreign country completely overrode any logic :p

LOL @ Yen's "Oh my god, are you kidding me..." expression in the background

After that, we went over to Dongdaemun (it's either Dongdaemun or Namdaemun -_-) to do more shopping and at the same, Cina wanted to check out the baseball stadium. We looked for it and wondered if the directions were wrong... and this was our reaction when we realized they had PAVED the stadium down to make way for more shopping complexes. We had actually walked around what was previously the baseball stadium wondering if it had sank into the ground...

We also went to check out the man made river that was a darling spot to chill out away from the hustle and bustle in the streets above. Yes, above. The river (with smoothly paved walkways on both sides) runs underneath the main roads.

Our last dinner in Korea was by far the most delicious :)

We headed over to the DMZ the next day and explored the third tunnel. Going down was awesome... but coming back up was a massive chore. I'm not exactly the most fit person on earth so the 320ish meters at a 11 degree incline almost made my heart explode! :p Sorry, no pictures were allowed! :p

Whew, that was our South Korea in a nutshell (more or less).
October was a month of birthdays (amazing shots ninja-ed from Lola and Yen) starting off with Kyeth's at Euphoria, MOS :)

We're sipping on lychee martinis in the Sunway Lagoon Resort's lobby while waiting for the birthday girl to arrive!

Kyeth got a pole cake:

And we all love the cake :D

Kyeth and Sherlyn, the other birthday girl!

Vee and Lola

Aaaah!

Happy birthday Awesome! ;p

It was also Fiona's birthday and we had a pseudo surprise party (she saw it coming from a mile away :p) at Palete Pallete:

And did I already mention how much we all love cakes?

Fi handing out her cupcake cake :D

Adam munching on the icing

Lola made Fi chug it! In his defense, my own curve took a sinusoidal dump when my mac spun its wheels of death looking for an "unfound Bluetooth PAN."

Later in the same day, I bumped into Fi who said I looked completely different and normal out of the studio. We sometimes pole in our knickers.

Got ambushed at Pebble's station while illegally delivering mushrooms from Fay's table. That highly confused and a bloody month too early for Halloween psycho chick with the guitar and feathery head gear isn't me. Really.

Serious discussion with TJ as to whether or not I've ever tossed a "flaming bag of poo" onto my neighbor's porch. Them crazy Brit kids... and I never knew a douche was a poo bag. I thought it meant shithead and/or something to flush your girly parts with.

I think the peanuts in the rojak at Batai are clearly spiked--makes for pro-as-fuck brainstorming sessions after lunch, no shens.

Helped Ed pick out a purse for his co-worker. Such a pretty Pucci package :) Down with the Ferragamo! The Bottega was nice too... cough. But after all the deliberation, he reverted and decided not to buy it.

Nas rocked the Hangback and we floored the Superman (by floored, I mean we started from the floor to get used to the pain lol):

The seriously-holding-some-shit-in-look: the Superman, sorta kinda

For more pole action: Pole-artiy

Had couples therapy earlier for Aizat and Ditesh with Ditesh unleashing his inner female Gujarati. Wretched humor from the car all the way to A&W for drama between waffle bites... i.e. Ditesh with a shocking find and Raj offering penance:

<img src="http://www.nekomatta.com/images/092208/waffledrama.jpg" alt="Sleeping with your ---. I am bowing out (read: STAY AWAY FROM ME). It has been fun sticking a bloody railroad spike through my forehead every other time but I've really got better things to do. I'm not your emotional crash dump outlet. Been there, done that and safe to say I'm not a better person because of that. Rest assured, I will invoice for the therapy sessions accordingly.

Please drown yourself in the aquarium on the way out, thank you. Thank you very much.

Somo pole invasion

Happy Birthday Lola! :D

Lola's Birthday

Tagging all 51 pictures on Facebork is hard work hehe Commentary includes (but not limited to) the adventures of hiding from Lola at the start, Adam and Jon getting smacked around by Lili and featuring the "Chug it!" chant :)

One big happy family!

The long island toast

Backstage from the Cloret's Pole Dancing Finals

Since Facebork decided to not upload my pictures, I have to do this manually and blog it :p
After many, many weeks of dedicated pole training, pole burns and blooper shots, Friday turned out AWESOME! the frequent drifting around sleeplessly with the uncanny sensation of a budding, explosive supernova in my head.

That and the only reason I'm writing is to complain about the banana I just had. Of all the accessible fruit in the kitchen, I had to eat this one NORMAL looking banana--that turned out to have a massively mutated seed.

I kid you not.

I would've snapped a photo, but the mushy leftover of what was the middle section of the banana AND THAT GOD FUGLY BLACK SEED wouldn't have made spectacular imagery. Plus I was too disgusted and was busy scrubbing the insides of my mouth out.

If I die before the day of the competition, it's because I've been infected with the alien variety of the banana and its banana-lings have exploded out of my stomach.

Artsy fartsy Thursdays

What I'd probably look like manga-fied:

nekomatta!

The eyes were easy to pick considering they literally disappear when I smile... that and my cheeks definitely need to be rounder.

And yes, I did shamelessly ninja some cleavage inside. While I'm pretty nifty with CSS (which is unfortunately not reflected in this ancient build of a blog :p) I ran into a brick wall or two trying to get jQuery to NOT BREAK.

But after hours of thumping my head against the table, shit finally works! :p Yes, I'm now the queen of bludgeoning pretty little jQuery plug-ins to bend it to my wicked ways.

jQuery plug-ins that were modified, butchered and bastardized: ThickBox, UI Tabs

Here are some of my favourites before I go into the wall of text (tomorrow!) that was my weekend of screaming, testing, debugging, more screaming and more testing:

American Bald Eagle

Batmobile

Why so serious?

Pink demon cow

Giraffe

Teh Donkey!

Happy feet

Pole dancer... er, feet

Optimus prime

Bassett

Wall-E

Octopus

Pixelatedly squished images courtesy of yours truly's lazy ass. Going to war and defending your shit. Thank you :)

Took public transportation to KL at eight in the bloody morning. Don't even ask.

Got a Macbook that traveled with me all the way to Chi-town! :D

Chicago--graciously hosted by Diana, Andrew, Jaime and Owen smack in the middle of winter <3 Much apologies to the guys shoes' which I puked on at the dueling piano bar after my orgy of drinks, heh. And Super Bowl!

Vegetarian food--like, seriously. In all my past 23 years combined, I've never had as much vegetarian food as I did working in Cyberjaya for those few months :p Every thing's a mushroom. Or bean.

Advertising at Proximity--I architect information, hah ;p And boy do I still hate Flash :p Admittedly, we have shit for internet but at least we get free beer and truckloads of processed sugar :D

My fuck-me-red iPod died. DIED.

Gave the second chance thingie a second try. Didn't work out too hot.

Swung around an obstacle course four stories up in the air with the crazy kids at Standard Charted. Oh, the drinking games. Much love! :)

Doing stupid shit on the webcam.

Mage went frost... and priest snagged the 2000 rating with Cibo (and a little help from sassy Higgins hehe).

Rediscovering what it means to have an "actual job" and how it cuts down dramatically on your social life.

Revisiting my teenager years of indulging my currently not-so-secret any longer teeny boppy girly crush fantasies.

Bumped into unpleasant clients (thankfully only two!)--the worst of the two being a misogynistic a-hole (pretty much self explanatory).

Whored my liver out to Turborg just so I could get to the KL Music Festival '08.

Salsa classes--just started! ;p

Streaked my hair red and adopted green contact lenses in the name of vanity.

Bumping into people with subzero PR skills. Yes, again, God kills a lolcat every time I have to tolerate this.

Two of my friends are engaged! :D

Obsessing over a track from the Ministry of Sound radio for ages without knowing the title (simply because it's so obscure I couldn't find it)--only to find it on someone's playlist on the first day at Proximity (thanks Yee Ee :D)! I have the track but sadly, I still don't know what it's called.

And that's that; I'm still high on my fever and both my brain and fingers have rebelled and stopped working... although, I'm not sure if I should include HTML5 to that list :x

Pictures will come tomorrow! :) Happy Birthday to all the other July babies out there! :D

Drip; pass the tissue please

I'm sick. A day before I turn twenty five. This blows and is a humongous fail of epic proportions.

I'm this close to falling over dead with a leaky, gunk oozing faucet of a nose and I can't even get five minutes worth of sleep to save myself.

Add to that the possibility of needing to show up for work at a client's site on Sunday. S-U-N-D-A-Y. I think my gums just started to bleed from the acid that's moving up my esophagus at the very thought of Sunday morning work.

Also, God kills a lolcat for every stupid, ignorant cowpile text message I get. For the record: God killed three lolcats today.

Be kind to the lolcats and stop.
